November issue provides viewing heaven

Get your curling screen on

The November/December Curling TV/Web Guide is packed. Absolutely packed. As a teaser, here’s one day of listings…

At last… after two months of rock-tossing and our various Twitter and Facebook posts, the first Olympic-season print edition of The Curling News goes to press tonight.

And as our humorous video asks: Do you subscribe?

The reasons for subscribing are many, the least of which is that we save our best curling content for our 57-year-old newspaper. That’s right: Only TCN subscribers receive the best curling news and information available.

For example, we have the CURLING TV/WEB GUIDE, which lists all the live and tape-delayed curling events you can watch on television and online in November and December, anywhere in the world. And these are the most encompassing and up-to-date listings you can find, period.

Don’t believe us? Well, we have the corrected schedule of Canada’s Olympic Trials broadcasts in December, whereas at the time of this posting, the CCA’s own website featured out-of-date listings.

Another example: As of this posting, Sportsnet had not released the broadcast times for this week’s Grand Slam in Abbotsford, B.C., despite coverage beginning Thursday – seriously, guys? And while the newser will probably be sent out in a hurry later today, we’ve got those listings for you plus those of the following Slam, November 14-17 in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Now, consider event webstreaming from events of various notoriety (or not)… such as the Edinburgh Invitational in Scotland, and The Dominion’s first-ever live streams from Canada’s Club Curling Championships in Thunder Bay, Ontario… and you’ve got a spread of pages that are absolutely essential to any curling fan.

In addition, the November issue features award-winning sports columnist Terry Jones (with a bar graph ranking the latest in Curling Crazy), senior columnist Larry Wood with an epic on how Olympic status might be killing the sport, a behind-the-scenes tale of the incredible commitment the Men of Curling are dedicated toward, our regular Newsdesk and Curling in America departments, and much, much more.

Subscribe today, for yourself or to give a gift to a friend or loved one, and you might get in on the November 2013 issue before it sells out.

But we suggest you hurry hard
