After a week of Canadian whinging about Pan Continental streaming coverage—because streaming isn’t television—the Canadian Mixed is making a surprise return to YouTube.
Two games per draw are streaming now at Curling Canada’s YouTube channel as technical issues are wrangled at Curling Canada + (Plus), the usual host platform.
Plus is expected to be back up and running later today or tomorrow, so the YouTube hosting is expected to be temporary.
Of course, curling fans could subscribe to Plus, and thus watch a variety of non-Season of Champions events—the Mixed, Club Championships, Seniors, U18 Juniors, U20 Juniors, Mixed Doubles and so on.
The Mixed has a four cam setupAt time of publishing, the battle of Ontario was underway with Northern Ontario’s Dylan Johnston taking on the south’s Jayden King, who makes an appearance in the 2025 Curling Cares Fundraising Calendar.
The other game sees Territories veteran Jamie Koe up against Manitoba’s Ryan Wiebe.
Pool play continues in St. Catharines, Ont. until Wednesday when the two pools will conclude round robin play.
The top four from each pool will face off in a championship pool, while the bottom three will go to a seeding round.
The Mixed wraps up on Nov. 9.
