Want to watch U.S. election coverage?
Want to watch curling?
We know which one we’ve chosen.
The second Grand Slam of the season has begun—the Canadian Open from Nisku, Alta.—and just like the first one, every game on every sheet can be viewed online.
Thus, the Slam’s free preview period continues.
As we pointed out last month, HomeTeam Live is the home base for the coverage, where one of the four sheets features two- or three-way colour commentary.
The games are also uploaded to the Grand Slam’s YouTube page a short while later.
Almost halfway through the first Slam, HomeTeam came up with a way to watch all four games at once from the same single screen.
Very cool. It won’t work for some, but it will for others.
Action takes place today through championship Sunday at the Silent Ice Centre.
Sixteen women’s and 16 men’s teams are doing battle and there’s a heavy international presence.
Nine of the men’s teams hail from outside of Canada, while the international women’s teams number 11 in total.

Round-robin play runs through to Friday evening, whereupon the top eight teams advance to the playoffs.
If necessary, one tiebreaker draw will be played Saturday morning.
The quarterfinals and semifinals are scheduled for Saturday with both finals taking place on Sunday.
