“I believe there’s one last Olympic chapter to write”
“People thought my story in curling was finished.”
So begins a new video posted by Eve Muirhead, OBE, which has announced her return to the curling ice.
It’s been a busy four years of retirement for the 2022 Olympic women’s champion skip, whose final year in the sport still ranks as arguably the greatest season ever delivered by a curling athlete.
Muirhead dove into physical challenges – including HYROX pro ultra-fitness competition – and mental challenges too, guiding Team GB at major multisport Games including the recent 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina.
“But standing alongside Team GB reminded me where I belong.”
The flashy video was no doubt delivered by Muirhead’s new rep agency. Rocket Sports was founded by rock legend Elton John in 2012, and the Scottish Ice Queen becomes the 16th athlete on their talent roster.

“So I’m coming out of retirement, chasing one last Olympic dream. Because I believe there’s one last Olympic chapter to write.”
