Grand Slam and Rock League Curling on Sportsnet and CBC

Canada’s recent NHL hockey coverage partnership between Sportsnet and CBC might be over, but it’s back in gear on the curling ice.

The Mother Corp is back, in tandem with Sportsnet, in a new five-year Canadian linear broadcast deal announced for both the Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League.

Television coverage should amount to some 300 hours through the 2026-27 season, not including additional pre-playoff coverage on Rock Channel, The Curling Group’s own streaming platform.

The schedule might be initially tricky for some fans to follow. 

After Sportsnet and Rock Channel’s initial Slam pool coverage, the action then moves to CBC-TV, the free CBC Gem streaming service and Sportsnet+ for Saturday’s playoff games, before returning to Sportsnet for Sunday’s championship finals (CBC will also televise select Sunday finals throughout the season). 

For Rock League, fans can watch every game on CBC-TV and CBC Gem, with select games available on Radio-Canada’s streaming service ICI TOU.TV and Sportsnet on Thursdays and Fridays.

Of major note: for the first time in Sportsnet Slam history, coverage will begin promptly for each event, starting Tuesday and running through to the playoffs.

Full broadcast schedules and broadcast teams will be announced in the coming weeks.
