Scottish Curling and British Curling have jointly announced the selection of the Bruce Mouat and Rebecca Morrison four-player teams for the 2025 world men’s and women’s championships.
The news was not unexpected, given the choices made in 2024, when Mouat finished third at his national championship and Morrison second.
Ross Whyte and Fay Henderson repeated as Scottish champs this season, but once again missed out on selection for the worlds.
The only difference this time seems to be the method of announcing the selections.

This time around, the announcement reads as an interview piece with numerous quotes from the athletes, including Jenn Dodds—Morrison’s third—who was also selected with Mouat to rep the nation at the world mixed doubles titleshoot.
Just over two weeks ago at Dumfries, Team Mouat fell 8-3 to rival Ross Whyte in the Scottish men’s final while Morrison was thumped 10-2 by Henderson in the women’s finale.
Morrison did score a bronze medal for Scotland at last November’s European Championships. She’ll make her first trip to South Korea for the world championship, Mar. 15-23.
Rebecca Morrison • Michael Burns-Curling Canada“It will be the third world championships that we have played in together and it will be different for us to be going to Korea,” said Morrison.
“It is somewhere I have never been before, although the rest of the team have, so it is just something a little bit different which is exciting as it adds just a bit more variety to our season … and it is a cool way to end that race chasing qualifying points for Team GB.”
The World Men’s Championship takes place in Moose Jaw, Sask. from Mar. 29 to Apr. 6.
The World Mixed Doubles goes in Fredericton, N.B. from Apr. 26 to May 3.
