    Rrrrolling those Rrrramsfjell Rs

I first met Eduardo de Paz in my time with World Curling, but I don’t think we have communicated much since I lost a bag at the Barcelona airport in 2011 (oops).

A multi-sport commentator for Eurosport Spain—handling MLB, Olympics and other sports including curling—de Paz also commentates over live streams on his Twitch channel.

    Eduardo de Paz

Eduardo announced earlier this week that he’d struck a deal with The Curling Group to stream Grand Slam of Curling games on his channel.

He is doing just that this week, from the Masters as the HomeTeam Live stream signal transmits from the Sleeman Centre in Guelph, Ont.

If you’ve never heard Spanish curling commentary, trust me ... it’s great to hear Spanish curling commentary.

And for me, it’s great to hear Eduardo on the microphone again.

His pronunciation of Norway’s Magnus “Rrrrrrrramsfjell” is simply glorious.

Here’s a few minutes of his recent commentary in the embedded video below; give a listen.

De Paz is covering two games a day.

His Twitch channel is the third global coverage market I know of, besides Switzerland—where streaming coverage started at Eurovision Sport this week—and Japan, whose Abema network has been slammin’ all season.

Action continues with Friday’s final pool games, with the playoffs starting Saturday morning.

Canadian television coverage kicked in on Thursday via Sportsnet.

Nice job, Eduardo ... and it’s good to hear your voice again!
