Wrana, Eriksson and Sundgren will return

As expected, Niklas Edin’s now-former teammates are soldiering on in their quest to return to the top of the Olympic curling world in 2030.

Oskar Eriksson, Rasmus Wrana and Christoffer Sundgren will compete next season with Simon Olofsson.

Longtime Swedish men’s fours skip Niklas Edin announced his retirement from standard competition last Sunday.

“New squad, same ambition” read the social media posting, which is now listed as the teamoskareriksson account.

“We’re officially on the road with our sights set on the highest stage.

Goal: Olympics 2030.”

Former second Wrana is listed first, in what is typically assumed as either skip or fourth position, while Eriksson is listed as third. Sundgren, the former lead, is listed as second.

Olofsson served as Edin’s alternate over the past two seasons, and skipped Sweden to gold at the 2019 world mixed fours championship.
