    First post-STOH dominoes to fall

The first post-Scotties dominoes have fallen… in Quebec.

Jamie Sinclair and Lisa Weagle are leaving the Laurie Ste-Georges foursome.

“After much thought and consideration, Lisa and Jamie have decided to step away from the team to pursue new opportunities and personal endeavours,” read a team statement posted online.

Team St-Georges, with the skip and second Emily Riley competing in their fifth STOH national, got off to a fast start in Thunder Bay and finished 5-3 in their pool, missing the playoffs by a single game.

The statement goes on to thank the players and wish them well, stating “(we) will cherish a lifelong friendship with these two wonderful people.”

The statement confirms that St-Georges and Riley will be exploring options for the next 2025-26 season.

Sinclair first joined the team in March of 2023

Weagle signed up in April of 2024.
